Question: I am handicapped. Will there be handicapped parking? Will I be able to rent a gold cart to get around the show? Answer: Yes, there will be handicapped parking. Please make sure that your state-issued handicapped parking sticker is visible. You will be directed to the handicapped parking area. But no, there will not be golf cart rentals at the track. You may bring your own scooter or golf cart though. You will be asked to show your state issued handicapped placard. Question: May I bring my dog? Answer: Only authorized service dogs will be allowed on the grounds. Question: Will there be shuttles? Answer: No there will not be shuttles. Question: Where is Autobahn Country Club? Answer: The track is located south of I-80 and east of I-55. For specific directions go to the Blast web site at: http://www.blastexpo.com/preview/directions.html. Question: How much does it cost for parking? Answer: Parking is FREE. Question: Do I have to have a valid driver’s license? Answer: Yes Question: Do I have to show proof of Insurance? Answer: No, but you will be asked to sign a waiver which will include a $2,000 deductible for damage if you are responsible to the damage. Question: Where will I park? Answer: If you are in a driving event and have pre-registered, you will be directed into the grounds via Gate 1 where you will park for the day with the rest of the driving event cars. If you are a general admission customer, you will enter via Gate 2 and be directed to the general admission parking area. Question: Will food be available? Answer: Yes
Question: I have registered but now, I can’t come to the event. May I get a refund? Answer: No. No refunds will be issued after receipt of registration.
Question: Is there a waitlist for specific time slots? Answer: No, no waitlist for time slots. Question: What kind of car can I drive on the track? Answer: Any car; however, we do not allow motorcycles, vans or trucks. Question: Do I need a helmet? Answer: Helmets are not needed for Touring and Autocross. Helmets will be provided for Hot Laps and Karting.
Question: Can I ride in a specific Performance Fleet vehicle in the Hot Laps event? Answer: Yes Question: Can I drive a specific Performance Fleet vehicle in the Autocross event? Answer: Cars will be driven on a first-come, first-driven basis. Question: What vehicles are in the Autobahn Performance Fleet? Answer: Audi S4 & S5, Cadillac CTS V, Lexus ISF, Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 & E63, Porche Cayman S.. Please click here to go to the Autobahn Performance Fleet pages. Question: How long is the track? Answer: The north track for Hot Laps is 1.46 miles with 9 turns, 6 right and 3 left. The south track for Touring is 2.1 miles with 15 turns, 9 right and 6 left. The kart track is .36 miles with 7 turns, 5 right and 2 left. Question: My friends and I want to drive together in either the Autocross or Touring events, how can we do that? Answer: Advance reservations can be made for groups by calling the office. If you wait until the day of the show, groups can drive together by buying all tickets together at the track.
Question: Can someone ride with me in the Autocross? Answer: Yes, one guest per call will be allowed at no additional charge. The riding age is 18 and older. Question: Can someone ride with me in the Touring event? Answer: Yes, one guest will be allowed at one additional charge. Question: How many people can ride in a car in the Hot Laps event? Answer: This will vary as to the type of car. A two-door car will only have room for the driver and one passenger. A four-door car will have room for the driver and three passengers. Question: Could I arrange for an Autobahn driver to drive my car on the track while I am riding? Answer: Yes, that may be arranged on a space available basis at the track for an additional cost.
Question: What if I see a car that I want to buy from a dealer – may I take that car on the track? Answer: If a dealer has a qualified buyer, the dealer may offer a touring demonstration for the customer.
Question: What if it rains? Answer: The show will go on. If you are in the Touring event, you will follow the Autobahn driver around the track in the “wet lane” and experience the thrill of higher speed driving in the rain. In the Autocross and Hot Laps, the Autobahn Performance Fleet will give the customer a fabulous experience on the track in the rain.
Question: Can I drive or ride in an event more than once? Answer: Yes, but you must buy a ticket for each time, except in Autocross where you will have two timed attempts at the track. Question: May I bring my car in a trailer? Answer: All vehicles pulling a trailer will be directed to the trailer parking area where they may off-load their car and proceed to drive into the event. Question: Will there be other car dealers at the event in addition to the Performance Fleet? Answer: Yes, we anticipate that most major manufactures will display at the event. Question: I paid for general admission but what if I want to drive or ride in an event after I get to the show? Answer: Tickets for all events will be available on the grounds, if space is available. Question: When will registrations open and how long can I wait to register? Answer: Registration will open on April 5 on a first-come, first-served basis for the driving and riding events. Advance registrations will close on August 9. Question: Will there be places to watch the driving events? Answer: Yes, there will be places where you can watch by the track fence. Also, there is a viewing area on the roof of the south timing building.
Question: Will I have to tech out my car? Answer: No. Question: What is karting all about? Answer: Autobahn Country Club features a professionally designed one half mile track with 7 turns. Karting is a great way for everyone to competitively race. The driver will be strapped behind the wheel of a Rimo racing kart powered with a high performance Honda GX 270 engine. These karts are SAFE and FAST with modified racing slicks for incredible cornering speeds. Each Kart is outfitted with electronic timing. (Patte – please put this information on the web site). Question: How old do I have to be to drive a kart? Answer: The minimum driving age for karting is 12 and from 12 – 16, both parents must be present and give signed permission.
